After several meetings and a lot of emails and phone calls, the details of Aber Dabba Doo, Abergwyngregyn Festival 2014, are starting to emerge!

The Festival will be held on Saturday the 13th of September, to mark the beginning of Community Energy Fortnight, in our beautiful village, and proceedings will begin at 11am with the traditional village Fête in the Chapel; stalls will include a cake stand, tombola, bric-a-brac, book stall, gardening stall and face painting. Tea and scones will also be available in the chapel as well as an exhibition of local art and quilting.

At 12pm local BBC nature presenter Iolo Williams (pictured) will oversee the judging of the best fruit and veg; chutneys and jams, and as a break from tradition, the best loom bands.
Following this at 1pm the much anticipated duck race will take place before the main event in the marquee on the main-field at 3pm. At this point Iolo Williams, will be opening the event and launching our shares offer before our selection of live music starts, with various local artists playing until 8pm, more details on exactly who is performing will follow soon!

Refreshments will be available through out the day, full details are yet to be confirmed but, however there will definitely be a beer tent and Mon ar Lwy will be providing home made ice cream! There will also be other activities such as pony and trap rides and archaeological and historical tours of the village on the day, and we have many other plans in the pipeline!

The day promises to be an amazing day out for all the family, and a great community event, with much of the village getting involved after a shout out for volunteers.
